  1. Sallie Riggs Says:

The Bourne Board of Selectmen, at their meeting on Tuesday, September 18, voted to endorse the concept of reconfiguring key roads in the Buzzards Bay Village. They requested that the Selectmen’s Transportation Advisory Committee oversee the next steps and make regular reports to the Selectmen.

I very much like the proposed reconfiguration of Belmont Circle but I would like to have any parking provided there be limited to HOVs (high-occupancy-vehicles) i.e., vanpools and minibuses – not carpools.

  3. Albert Pisani Says:

Passenger rail service needs to be made a priority. this would be restoring something the town had at one time, and therefore will not harm the area. In fact, the addition of passenger rail service will serve as a catalyst to make Buzzards Bay a vibrant area once again. We have a rail station already in place that was rebuilt with our tax dollars, lets use it for its intended purpose that our taxes paid for.

I own Balance Massage & Spa on Main St. I have recently had a few new clients from Sagamore and Plymouth (Cedarville). They said they didn’t know I was here though they do travel to Wareham for doctors etc. Asked how they usually travel, they said the bypass. I know advertising helps to get noticed, just thought something like old signs at the rotary pointing out what is down Main St. would help to receive more traffic. Know it could be costly, but as a business owner I would be willing to invest my money in the project.

I read similar article also named BFDC Main Street Steering Committee – Citizen Participation, and it was completely different. Personally, I agree with you more, because this article makes a little bit more sense for me
