Bourne, Massachusetts the entry point to Cape Cod, is a great place to work and live.

Everyone lines up for the ribbon cutting

Everyone lines up for the ribbon cutting at the celebration of the completion of the Main Street streetscape project.

The Bourne Financial Development Corporation (BFDC), the Town’s economic development agency, is here to help with your business location, re-location or growth.

In accordance with the Town’s Local Comprehensive Plan, most commercial growth is targeted for Bourne’s Downtown, the Village of Buzzards Bay. The area has been designated as an Economic Growth Center by the county’s planning agency, the Cape Cod Commission. Bourne’s Downtown is a Growth Incentive Zone, meaning that most development and re-development projects require only one level of permitting: the Town’s.

The Village of Buzzards Bay is on the “mainland” side of the Cape Cod Canal and adjacent to a major highway system. The Cape Cod Canal can be accessed from various parts of Main Street, including Three Mile Look at the end of Perry Avenue, a newly developed open space with walking trails adjacent to the new Keystone Place, and the Buzzards Bay Park.
